With the aim of facilitating the adoption of Web3, which is how this area of the Internet is known where decentralized web services (dApps) live, Opera has just announced the arrival of the Crypto Browser Project in public beta, being available for Windows, macOS and mobiles under Android.
This launch marks a new path despite the fact that Opera launched its first browser in 2018 with basic support for web3 and cryptocurrencies. With the Crypto Browser Project, not only comes full Web3 support, but also integrates a native non-custodial digital wallet, and enables the exchange of cryptocurrencies and NFTs, among other features.
Browsers will continue to play a crucial role in the decentralized Internet, and today’s beta reflects that. Very few of the web browsing experiences offered today have been created with the intention of putting the Web3 center stage and make blockchain technologies understandable and easy to use.
Therefore, to make Web3 available to both advanced users and novice users of this emerging scenario:
With the Crypto Browser Project, we set out to change this, and starting today, we’re inviting the blockchain community to join this mission. If we are going to take Web3 beyond big ideas, we need to create products that embrace both crypto enthusiasts who understand the space and those who are just starting out and want to explore it.
Crypto Browser Project will allow browsing both traditional websites and also through a variety of decentralized applications (dApps) natively, on which you can log in without the need for extensions, also having a wide range of functions focused on the Web3.
Users will have a home page called Crypto Corner, where they will have news related to the blockchain world, NFTs, crypto communities, and more.
Opera’s new web browser also integrates a native non-custodial digital wallet, supporting Ethereum, Bitcoin, Celo and Nervos cryptocurrencies for now, and soon to be available as open source.
The use of third-party digital wallets will also be supported through a selection tool.
Crypto Browser Project also integrates a secure clipboard, in charge of verifying that no other application has made modifications to sensitive data to enable safe cut and paste.
Users will also enjoy its secure and log-free VPN service, anti-advertising tracker feature, and more.
To start, Opera says that:
To try out Web3, you must first download Opera Crypto Browser on Android, Windows, or Mac (iOS coming soon). You can then create your Opera wallet or use an existing wallet if you already have one (the restore feature).

“I have an Android Galaxy Z Fold3.” Bill Gates reveals which smartphone he currently uses
The former head of Microsoft does not use the company’s smartphones. Answering a question about his mobile device on the Reddit forum, Bill Gates told what kind of smartphone he uses.
I have an Android Galaxy Z Fold3. I try different ones. With this screen, I can get by with a great laptop and phone and don’t need anything else.
Third-party sources, of course, emphasize that Gates could use the Microsoft Surface Duo 2, but, like the first generation, this device failed in sales and is inferior to Samsung’s foldable flagship on literally all fronts.
As for other smartphones or the laptop he chose, Gates, unfortunately, did not disclose the details.
Paid apps in Huawei AppGallery can be downloaded completely free of charge: Huawei has not yet responded
Since Huawei was under US sanctions, Huawei has been forced to switch to its own software solutions as it is banned from using Google services. One of them is the AppGallery app store, which has become a replacement for Google Play.
AppGallery has a pretty serious issue that one developer says has remained unresolved for months, even though he reported it to Huawei back in February. This vulnerability allows anyone with a little bit of technical skill, some free time, and a bit of inclination to put in a little effort to download and install any paid app from AppGallery without paying for it. Of course, for developers who support Huawei by releasing their apps in the AppGallery, this is very bad news.
Dylan Roussel, the developer who discovered the problem, emphasizes that this vulnerability is on the side of Huawei, which still remains unresolved. The bottom line is that the AppGallery API does not offer any protection for paid apps.
Roussel himself was able to download and use several paid apps by exploiting this vulnerability. Obviously, this is a big problem, because with the active exploitation of the vulnerability, developers will receive less profit from the possible sale of their applications.
It remains to be hoped that Huawei will soon solve the problem.

Tomorrow, Qualcomm will host an event where the company plans to unveil its flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus mobile platform. But the key characteristics of the single-chip system leaked before the announcement.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus (SM8475) will be manufactured using 4nm process technology by TSMC. The platform will offer an overall performance boost through overclocking. The processor will still retain the “1 + 3 + 4” architecture. It will receive the main Cortex-X2 core, three Cortex A710 cores and four Cortex-A510 cores.
According to well-known insider Digital Chat Station, the architecture of the CPU and GPU remained the same, but at the same time significantly (30%) improved energy efficiency. Productivity increased by 10%.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus will replace the existing Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and will soon be available in flagship smartphones from various brands.
Digital Chat Station was the first to report the specifications of Xiaomi 12 and Redmi K50.
