OneXPlayer 2 game console with AMD Ryzen 7 6800U and detachable gamepads to ship in 2023
Indiegogo has begun accepting pre-orders for the OneXPlayer 2 portable Windows console. This system is a portable PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor with 8 cores and 16 threads, a 12-core GPU and a large amount of memory: 16/32 GB of RAM (LPDDR5x- 6400) and 512 GB / 2 TB permanent (PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD with the ability to install a drive on PCIe 4.0).
One of the important features of the new console are removable wireless game controllers. This allows you to bring the novelty closer to the Nintendo Switch, as well as use it as a tablet. OneXPlayer 2 is now available for pre-order through the crowdfunding platform, with shipments starting in early 2023.
Pre-order prices start at $899 for the base version with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. Note that the novelty is equipped with a large 8.4-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a brightness of 350 cd / m².
Also note the battery at 65.5 Wh, which will last up to 3 hours of play or up to 6 hours of video playback. For charging, there is a 100W adapter that “fills” the battery by half in 40 minutes.
Of the wireless communication channels, we note Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and the controls are represented by analog sticks, buttons, triggers and a 6-axis gyroscope. By the way, to use the gamepads in wireless mode, you will have to buy an adapter for $29, which will provide the gamepads with power and communication. In fact, if they are simply disconnected, they will not work.
It has not yet been announced in which markets the OneXPlayer 2 will first appear.

We waited two months and we will wait another two weeks. AMD told when it will release a new driver for Radeon RX 6000 and other cards (older)

AMD top manager Frank Azor, who is responsible for the direction of gaming solutions, promised users of 3D cards Radeon RX 6000 and older a new Adrenaline driver: it will appear within two weeks.
The situation, if not extraordinary, is rather strange: since the release of the Radeon RX 7000 line, the company has consistently updated the driver for them four times already, while for models based on the RDNA2 architecture (that is, the Radeon RX 6000) and older, not a single driver has been released.
In general, the company adheres to the strategy of releasing a unified Adrenaline driver for all models of its video cards (at least for those based on the RDNA3 and RDNA2 architectures), and Frank Azor once again confirmed this. But only recently the implementation of this strategy has stalled.

The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti can be 20-25% faster than the RTX 3060 Ti. Tests of Nvidia adapter based on GPU AD106 appeared

The first test results of an Nvidia video card based on the AD106 GPU in its full configuration have appeared on the Web.
What this model will be called is still unclear, but based on early leaks, it could be the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. True, those very leaks attributed to it a little less CUDA cores, that is, the GPU will be slightly cut.
So, the AD106 configuration allegedly includes 4608 CUDA cores. Also, the specified video card has 8 GB of memory and probably a 128-bit bus. Tests in AIDA64 are not related to reality, but the results in 3DMark are already more useful.
The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (let’s call it that for convenience) was compared with the RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 2080 Super. You can see that the new product, depending on the test, is either a little faster or a little slower than the RTX 3070 Ti. We can say that there is parity between the cards. At the same time, the TDP of the novelty is 180 W versus 290 W for the RTX 3070 Ti.
According to the leaks, the RTX 4060 Ti will receive not 4608 CUDA cores, but 4352 cores, that is, about 5% less. Accordingly, the performance may be a little less, but here the situation will also depend on the frequencies. Either way, if the information is correct, the RTX 4060 Ti will be about 20-25% faster than the RTX 3060 Ti. However, at the same time, you need to understand that the new product can be more expensive, because so far in the RTX 40 line, this is exactly the situation relative to the RTX 30.

Nvidia quietly released the most powerful version of the GeForce RTX 3060, but it only has 6 GB of memory

Nvidia seems to have quietly released another version of the GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card. A version with the GA106 GPU in its full configuration has been added to the TechPowerUp database.
That is, such an adapter has 3840 CUDA cores versus 3584 cores for the regular RTX 3060. By the way, the mobile RTX 3060 just has the same 3840 CUDA cores, but due to significantly lower frequencies, of course, it cannot compete with the desktop version.
The source says the new RTX 3060 is already in use in some off-the-shelf PCs from Asus, Dell, MSI and others. At the same time, such a card may not appear in retail.
Interestingly, the memory capacity of the new modification is only 6 GB, that is, half as much as the original card. As a reminder, there is also a retail RTX 3060 with 8 GB of memory and a 128-bit bus, which was introduced at the end of last year.
How critical 6 GB of memory will be for the RTX 3060 is difficult to say without tests, but the mobile versions have exactly this amount of memory.
The source suggests that the new version was released in order to get rid of the GA106 GPU stock faster.
