OnePlus’ very affordable 50-inch 4K TV unveiled

OnePlus has officially unveiled the OnePlus TV 50 Y1S Pro smart TV, equipped with a 50-inch 4K display. It runs Android TV 10 operating system with proprietary OxygenPlay 2.0 user interface.

The panel has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, it supports HDR10 + and HLG, and the Gamma Engine helps improve color reproduction and overall image quality. Implemented MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) technology, designed to compensate for motion blur and improve image smoothness. At the same time, the ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) function is responsible for reducing the delay.

The hardware basis is a MediaTek MT9216 single-chip system with four 64-bit computing cores. The amount of RAM is 2 GB, flash memory in the TV 8 GB. The equipment includes wireless adapters Wi-Fi 802.11ac (frequency bands 2.4 and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0 LE, three HDMI interfaces, two USB ports and an Ethernet network controller. The Dolby Audio system has a power of 24W.

The TV supports Smart Manager and allows you to connect to OnePlus Buds, OnePlus Watch using OnePlus Connect 2.0. In addition, OxygenPlay 2.0 offers direct access to over 230 channels. Users will be able to communicate with the intelligent voice assistant Google Assistant.

A little later, approximately in the middle of 2023, another, more powerful modification of the MG7 with a rechargeable hybrid power plant should appear on the market.

The researchers used a laboratory laser, tuned to give pulses of 125 picojoules for 10 picoseconds. After that, the laser pulse was passed through a mixture of ground coffee and water for about three minutes. According to the source, the beam passes through the drink up to 80,000 times per second.

The result is a coffee that is in no way inferior to the classic cold brew, but brews much faster. At the same time, the acidity index (one of the characteristics of coffee) does not differ much from the traditional method of preparation, and the caffeine level turned out to be closer to ordinary hot coffee.
