Sources say the new OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone is actually a renamed clone of the Realme X9 Pro.
The source clarifies that there were two versions of the Realme X9 Pro in development: the first will receive a Snapdragon 870 and a curved display with a frequency of 90 Hz, and the second will receive a SoC Dimensity 1200 and a flat display with a frequency of 90 Hz. However, the second version will not be released in China, so it has been renamed OnePlus Nord 2.
Smartphones may have one more slight difference. According to TENAA, the Realme X9 Pro will have a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and according to a previous leak, the OnePlus Nord 2 has an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera. However, the rest of the sensors are the same, as are the 4500 batteries with 65W fast charging support.
As a reminder, OnePlus and Realme are owned by the same BBK Electronics, so this strategy is not surprising.
The source added that the OnePlus Nord 2 will launch next month.
The growing company Infinix decided to compete with the giants of the market for ultra-fast charges and introduced the 180W Thunder Charge.
As the name suggests, this is 180W fast charging technology. Unlike Ultra Fast Charge 160W technology, which was just a concept, 180-watt charging will appear in the company’s smartphones, and already at the end of this year. It will debut in a flagship smartphone, but there are no details about it yet.
Infinix says this technology will allow a 4,500 mAh battery to be charged up to 50% in 4 minutes. How much will be needed for a full charge, the company does not say, but you should not multiply the indicated time by two.
Since we are talking about huge power for a mobile device, 180W Thunder Charge technology has received 111 software and hardware security mechanisms that monitor many different indicators, including temperature, voltage, electromagnetic interference, and so on.
It also implies the presence of 20 temperature sensors that will monitor the temperature of the battery, USB-C port, converters, and so on. The system will focus on keeping the temperature below 43 degrees.
Also Infinix will use special cables with identification chips. Only with such a cable will ultra-fast charging be activated. In the case of other cables, charging will still be fast: 60 or 100 watts.
Samsung has revealed the official price of the Galaxy XCover6 Pro rugged smartphone that was unveiled yesterday.
As the rumors claimed, they are asking for a considerable 600 euros for the novelty. For 610 euros, a certain version of the Enterprise Edition will be available.
The price is high, but to be expected. Firstly, protected Samsung models have always been very expensive, and secondly, the Galaxy XCover6 Pro in particular stands out for its good performance. Recall that it is based on the SoC Snapdragon 778G, and this makes the smartphone more powerful than most models of the Galaxy A line.
In addition, there is a new 50-megapixel camera for the line, USB-C 3.2, Wi-Fi 6E and a removable battery. There are practically no similar devices from famous brands on the market.
To repair a Google Pixel smartphone, it is not at all necessary to contact the workshop. Google started selling spare parts for self-repair of its phones
In April of this year, Google and iFixit entered into a partnership in which users were promised access to spare parts for smartphones from the American company. And now the Pixel phone self-repair program has started working – iFixit has begun selling original spare parts.
The range includes screens, rechargeable batteries, cameras and charging connectors. They can be purchased separately or as part of the Fix Kit, which includes everything you need for a specific procedure. For example, in the case of screen repair, the kit will include a tool, a suction cup, and glue. Kits are available for a wide range of Pixel models, from Pixel 2 to Pixel 6 Pro. iFixit promises to expand the range of spare parts and not delay the sale of components for fresh models. So, spare parts for Pixel 6a will be on sale in the fall.
It is important to note that all components, except for batteries, are provided with a lifetime warranty. Batteries have a one year warranty. In terms of pricing, the Pixel 6 Pro screen is priced at $193, while the Fix Kit version costs $200. The cost of the original battery for Google Pixel 4 XL is $43.
