Large monitor-TVs with a 48-inch OLED panel from well-known computer hardware manufacturers could not appear on sale for a long time after the announcement, but eventually they appeared, and now they can even be found much cheaper than the initial price. So, the American retailer Newegg immediately reduced the cost of the Aorus FO48U by $670. As a result, the price almost halved: from $1,500 to $830.

Although the device is advertised as being 48 inches, the OLED screen actually measures 47.53 inches diagonally. The frame rate is 120 Hz and the resolution is 3840 x 2160 pixels. The monitor provides coverage of 98% of the DCI-P3 color space and 130% of the sRGB color space.

The Aorus FO48U is configured with a KVM switch, three speakers with a total power of 50W, one DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 connectors, a USB-C port (for KVM) and a pair of USB 3.0 Type-A, an RJ-45 port.

Few have heard of CFD Gaming, but meanwhile, it began selling a high-speed solid-state drive with support for the PCIe 5.0 interface in Japan, and not only online – the device was found at a point of sale in the well-known Akihabara area (Tokyo).

In fact, the SSD was introduced back in October last year, and it was supposed to go on sale in November. But everything took a little longer. The device will have three memory options – 1, 2 and 4 TB. The middle model has appeared on sale in retail, and they are asking for $ 385 for it!

The price is decent, however, and the parameters are not average. So, sequential read and write speeds are 10 and 9.5 GB / s, respectively, random read performance is 1.5 million IOPS, and writes are 1.25 million IOPS.

The SSD is equipped with a cooling system with an active element – a fan. Reportedly, the cooling system is non-removable, and the manufacturer itself does not recommend installing the drive in poorly ventilated cases.

It seems that integrated video cards are gradually catching up with full-fledged discrete solutions. In any case, this applies to AMD. The author of the YouTube channel zWORMz Gaming tested a PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor and integrated Radeon 680M graphics. As it turned out, the results are comparable to mass discrete graphics cards.

For testing, we used a Beelink SER6 Pro mini PC with 32 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. Games ran at 1080p, almost all of them ran at low graphics settings.

The results of testing games with low graphics settings:

• Cyberpunk 2077 – 40 FPS (with FSR Quality enabled).
• Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – 45 (very low graphics settings).
• Dying Light 2 – 39 FPS.
• Red Dead Redemption 2 – 39 FPS.
• Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 – 56 FPS.
• Forza Horizon 5 – 79 FPS.
• PUBG – 55 FPS.
• Apex Legends – 76 FPS.
• Overwatch 2 – 119 FPS.
• Fortnite – 138 FPS.
• Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – 199 FPS.

Results at high settings:

• Dota 2 – 98 FPS.
• Grand Theft Auto 5 – 69 FPS.
• Valorant – 196 FPS.

Thus, the “embedding” turned out to be at a level between the GeForce GTX 1650 and GeForce RTX 3050. Of course, with an increase in graphics quality, the frame rate will drop, however, in fact, even on an office PC with a Ryzen 7 6800H mobile processor, you can play.

The price of such a PC is $659.
