OnePlus in its repertoire. The company’s first smartwatches do not support Always-on Display, but may receive support in the future.
OnePlus initially struggled with Always-on Display support on its smartphones, now the same can be observed with respect to the first smartwatches.
OnePlus Watch does not support this technology, but potential buyers of the device can still hope to see Always-on Display support in the future.
OnePlus admitted that the technology is in high demand, but said it could increase power consumption by 50%. At the same time, the company is evaluating the possibility of adding it in the future through software updates.
In addition, in a blog post, OnePlus revealed that it has ditched Wear OS in favor of a real-time operating system (RTOS), also for the sake of autonomy. And OnePlus Watch will support displaying information on the screen with a frequency of 50 fps versus the usual 30 fps, which should make the device one of the smoothest smartwatches among the models with long autonomy.
On the technical side, OnePlus has shared some interesting details here as well. In particular, the clock is based on three chips: ST32, Apollo 3 and Cypress. The first one stands out for its high performance and is responsible for the interface, the second processes data from various sensors and stands out for energy efficiency, and the third is responsible for Bluetooth.
Among other things, it is worth noting the following: OnePlus Watch will not yet support iOS, they have a microphone and a speaker, about 2 GB of memory are allocated for music in the watch.

Even more like the iPhone: Apple Watch Series 8 showed from all sides in high-quality images

Apple is expected to launch three smartwatch models this fall, including the Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE, and the first rugged watch. This post provides high-quality renderings of the Apple Watch Series 8 based on leaks and available information.
The biggest difference compared to the Apple Watch Series 7 is that the screen protector is completely flat. This makes the watch case look more like an iPhone case. You can also see that the screen frame has become even smaller. It is quite possible that the Apple Watch Series 8 will be the watch with the highest effective display area.
Enlarged slots for the speaker are visible on the left side of the case, the usual clock controls are located on the right side. The watch will be able to measure heart rate and blood oxygen saturation. As for measuring temperature, blood sugar and blood pressure, Apple is working on these features, but they are unlikely to appear this year.
According to rumors, the presentation of the Apple Watch Series 8 will take place in September this year.
