On Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, Mi Note 10, Redmi Note 9S, Note 8 and POCO X3 in MIUI 12 the brightness control broke

Some users of Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones report that with the release of the European firmware MIUI 12 numbered v12.0.3, they encountered a new bug, which manifests itself in the impossibility of adjusting the brightness of smartphones.
This problem persisted until update v12.0.8. The problem manifests itself on popular smartphone models such as Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, Xiaomi Mi Note 10, Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 8 and POCO X3, which were released in 2019 and 2020.
MIUI 12 has a new Quick Settings Control Center that makes the shell look more like iOS. At the bottom of this menu is a brightness adjustment slider that has stopped responding to touch on the aforementioned smartphone models.
Users have already figured out that this problem occurs when using various themes. Xiaomi has not yet officially commented on the situation.
