Officially: the first Redmi gaming smartphone comes out in April

Xiaomi’s new product manager Wang Teng Thomas confirmed on his Weibo page that Redmi will launch a new smartphone in April this year.

Earlier, Lu Weibong, President of Xiaomi Group China and General Manager of Redmi Brand, announced the imminent release of the first Redmi Gaming Phone. The manufacturer will adhere to the best price-performance ratio.

It is already known that the smartphone will be equipped with the flagship SoC MediaTek Dimensity 1200, which is the most powerful SoC with support for 5G from MediaTek. The device will receive a flat screen Samsung E4 AMOLED of the latest generation, which is installed in smartphones of the Redmi K40 series. It is named “the best flat panel in the industry” by DisplayMate Technologies labs to give it a maximum A + score.

The Redmi gaming phone will receive a 5000 mAh battery, as well as support for 65 W fast charging, which will fully recharge the battery in just half an hour. In addition, the Redmi gaming smartphone should receive additional hardware keys at the end, like the phones of the Black Shark line.

The first Redmi gaming phone is rumored to be priced around $ 300.
