Officially: Honor 50 flagships will present on June 16
Honor today officially announced the date of the announcement of its new flagship smartphones Honor 50 – this event will take place on June 16. At the same time, the first video teaser showing the design elements of smartphones was published. It also lists the premiere date and Vlog support. But the fact that the Honor 50 will focus on the camera, no one doubted.
We will remind, yesterday in China announced the conditions of pre-orders for Honor 50 – those wishing to purchase devices can make a deposit of $ 15.5. As expected, the younger model of the line will receive the Snapdragon 778G platform and 66W charging, the older Honor 50 Pro + will have a Snapdragon 888 SoC, 100-watt charging and a 50-megapixel sensor as part of the main camera.
Many users outside of China are concerned about the Honor 50’s Google services. They will be, this was previously confirmed by representatives of the German branch of Honor. Honor has also denied rumors that it does not have an Android license.

Impressive new photo from the Hubble Space Telescope: “Dive into the astronomical treasure trove”

The Hubble Space Telescope website has published a new impressive photo. The photograph captures the brilliant globular cluster NGC 6569 in the constellation Sagittarius.
As noted on the website under Image of the Week, the observatory explored the “heart” of the cluster with its Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3) and Advanced Camera for Surveys, revealing “a brilliant array of stars in this astronomical treasure chest.” The authors of the note poetically invite everyone who wants to carry out “Immersion in the astronomical treasury”.
Globular clusters are stable, closely related clusters containing tens of thousands to millions of stars. The intense gravitational pull of these dense star clusters means that globular clusters are a regular spherical shape with a “populous center” – as seen in the center of this image.
Previously, researchers have avoided globular clusters close to the center of the Milky Way, as dust scattered throughout the center of our galaxy blocks light from these clusters and changes the colors of the stars within them. The latter factor is especially important for astronomers studying stellar evolution, since the colors of stars can give astronomers an idea of their age, composition, and temperature.
Recall that the Hubble Space Telescope is a joint project of the US Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA)

The Pixel 7 Pro could be a catastrophic loser to the new flagships. SoC Tensor 2 parameters data appeared

The Pixel 7 Pro smartphone will be released this fall, which means that at first it will have to compete with flagships based on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 8 Plus Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000, and in the second half of its life cycle already with the new Qualcomm and MediaTek platforms. But new data indicates that, at least in terms of performance, there will be a very large gap between Google’s new product and future flagships.
The Pixel 7 Pro prototype revealed some details about the configuration of the smartphone. In particular, about his SoC Tensor 2.
The new platform will retain the 2+2+4 configuration. At the same time, the junior cores will still be Cortex-A55. Early leaks indicated that two Cortex-X1 cores would also migrate to Tensor 2 with the current SoC. That is, only two middle nuclei remain unknown. The current Tensor has a Cortex-A76 pair.
Considering that already current platforms use Cortex-X2, Cortex-A710 and Cortex-A510 cores, the performance difference between the conventional Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Pixel 7 Pro should be huge. It is great even now, when Tensor is compared with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but if Tensor 2 as a whole is very similar to the current platform, the difference can become about two times if you focus on the same AnTuTu benchmark. Although we don’t know anything about the GPU yet, so at least on this point no conclusions can be drawn.
As for the rest, the Pixel 7 Pro gets a new Samsung S6E3HC4 panel that delivers a maximum brightness of 1000 cd/m2 against 800 cd/m2 on the Pixel 6 Pro.
We should also expect improvements in haptic feedback technology, as the smartphone will receive a new generation Cirrus Logic CS40L26 chip.

The affordable Samsung Galaxy A23 5G will be nearly as powerful as the best-selling Galaxy A53 5G. The main parameters of the novelty became known

Samsung is preparing to expand its Galaxy Ax3 line of smartphones with the Galaxy A23 5G.
Recall that the Galaxy A23 was released back in March. It is based on the SoC Snapdragon 680, which means it offers good performance, but does not have 5G support.
As it has now become known, the Galaxy A23 5G will be more powerful. Geekbench software indicates the presence of a Snapdragon 695 smartphone. This platform offers not only connectivity to fifth-generation networks, but also about one and a half times greater performance. What’s also important is the fact that, at least in benchmarks, the Snapdragon 695 is almost equal to the new Exynos 1280, meaning the Galaxy A23 5G will be roughly comparable to the much more expensive Galaxy A53 5G.
The test copy was also equipped with 4 GB of RAM, but we should expect versions with more volume. As for the rest of the parameters, they are not yet available. The Galaxy A23 4G features a 6.6-inch 90Hz IPS screen, a 50MP primary camera, and a 5000mAh battery.
