Realme today officially unveiled its 240W mobile phone charging technology and confirmed that the first device to support it will be the Realme GT Neo5. The phone itself was not presented – it will be released in February, but they talked about the technology.
The power supply converts 20V 12A to 10V 24A with 98.5% efficiency. A USB-C cable had to be created specifically for the phone, capable of transmitting such power. In terms of the physical size of the power supply, the volume of its case is only 5% larger than that of a power supply with an output power of 150W. It is noted that the charger supports various protocols: 65W PD, QC and VOOC.
To ensure the safety and adequate cooling of both the phone battery itself and the hardware components, Realme GT Neo5 will have 13 temperature sensors and the largest vapor chamber in the history of mobile phones with an area of 6580 mm2.
The company separately emphasizes that when using such a powerful charge, the battery loses minimal capacity. Thus, after 1600 charge/discharge cycles (which is about twice the conventional standard taken into account when designing a phone or battery), the effective battery capacity is at least 80%.
It’s all about the technology. As for the Realme GT Neo5 itself, it is credited with a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels and a frame rate of 144 Hz, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor as part of the main camera. And there are also rumors that Realme GT Neo5 will receive RGB backlighting.
These new features will initially be limited to the Galaxy S23 line of smartphones. There are details about the One UI 5.1 shell

$170 ZTE Blade V40 spotted in Bangladesh
The ZTE V40 family of smartphones will soon be replenished with the Blade V40 model – it has already lit up in Bangladesh, and immediately with a price: a version with 4 GB of RAM (expandable by 2 GB) and 128 GB of flash memory is estimated at the equivalent of $ 170.
The Blade V40 hardware platform is based on a 12nm Unisoc Tiger T616 single-chip system with 2 Cortex-A75 cores and 6 Cortex-A55 cores. OS – Android 12 with MyOS 12 interface.
The configuration of the device is a triple main camera (with a main sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels), a 6.6-inch IPS screen and a 4500 mAh battery. A full premiere of the device is expected in early February.
Why overpay for smartphones with 5G? On the example of the Samsung Galaxy A14, you can see that we are talking about a huge difference in performance.
The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G smartphone was introduced at the beginning of the month, but the company is preparing a more affordable version with 4G support. And today we have all the main characteristics of this model and images.
The design of the younger version will be the same, except that instead of brown it will be silver. Many characteristics will also not change, although there will still be differences.
The main thing, of course, is the platform. Instead of the latest Exynos 1330, MediaTek Helio G80 is used. Compared to the Exynos 850 in the Galaxy A13 4G, this is certainly a very significant improvement. For comparison, the Exynos 850 scores about 145,000 points in AnTuTu 9, while the Helio G80 scores 230,000 points. True, the same Exynos 1330 is gaining more than 410,000 points, so the difference between the A14 4G and 5G versions in performance is enormous.
The screen of the Galaxy A14 4G will retain the size of 6.6 inches, Full HD + resolution, but there will be no increased frame rate, like the A14 5G. The battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, the main 50-megapixel camera, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of flash memory will also remain, but charging will be only 10-watt. But the smartphone will receive stereo speakers.
The novelty will be released at the end of March. In Eastern Europe, they will ask for 200 euros for it.
