Official: AMD Ryzen 7000 processors and Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards will be released this year

Commenting on the financial results of the fourth quarter and last year as a whole, Lisa Su touched upon the issue of promising products.

About 2022. Demand for our products is strong and we look forward to another year of strong growth and share as we expand our current product lines and launch new Zen 4 processors and RDNA 3 GPUs. We have also invested heavily in providing the power needed to support our growth in 2022 and beyond.

New products of both lines are expected at the end of this year. Ryzen 7000 will be a significant step forward, because they will not only switch to the new AM5 processor socket (LGA 1718, just like Intel processors), but will also receive support for DDR5 memory and PCIe 5 bus. APUs will also be significantly updated, they will receive new GPUs. True, there are some issues with the availability of AMD desktop APUs, let’s hope that the situation will be better in the next generation.

As for video cards, the Radeon RX 7000 will be significantly more powerful than current models. According to rumors, the top-end Navi 31 GPU with 15,360 stream processors will be represented by MCM (Multi Chip Module) with two crystals. Perhaps even Navi 32 will consist of two crystals. But the simpler Navi 33 will be monolithic.
