Nvidia is preparing two new graphics cards … in the GeForce RTX 30 line. One of them is a simplified GeForce RTX 3060

Nvidia is preparing to release two new graphics cards of the current generation. Rather, we are talking about two new versions: GeForce RTX 3060 with 8 GB of memory and RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X memory.

Nvidia is preparing two new graphics cards ... in the GeForce RTX 30 line. One of them is a simplified GeForce RTX 3060

The MEGAsizeGPU insider reported this the other day, but it was completely unclear how much he could be trusted. Now the Videocardz resource speaks about this, referring to its own sources.

The RTX 3060 is known to have 12 GB of memory, and the 8 GB version will allow Nvidia to fill the gap between the existing card and the RTX 3050. In this case, the memory bus of the new card will be 128-bit instead of 192-bit in the current version. As a result, performance will still be lower, and not at all because of the amount of memory.

For now, the RTX 3060 has a MSRP of $330, while the RTX 3050 is priced at $250. That is, the novelty will lie somewhere in between.

The RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X memory will keep its 8GB of memory, it will just get faster. We can expect that the frequency will be set at the level of the RTX 3070 Ti, that is, it is 19 GHz. In this case, the throughput will increase from 448 to 608 GB / s.

The same MEGAsizeGPU insider was also talking about an RTX 3070 Ti based on the GA102 GPU instead of the current GA104, but apparently with the parameters preserved, which means that for users it does not matter.

New items should be released at the end of October. Perhaps Nvidia needs them to quickly sell off stocks of current-generation GPUs. For these purposes, we recall, the company intends to greatly reduce prices in the near future.

The best next generation Intel processors will ship in these packages

An image of the packaging of the Core i9-13900K processor has appeared on the Web, and at least in general all new-generation Core i9K CPUs.

As you can see, the packaging is very thin, and inside there is some metallic color insert, the design of which is not very clear yet. But it is she who, apparently, is the substrate for the processor.

Of course, there is no cooler in the box, since Intel has long ceased to equip top processors with cooling systems due to constantly growing power consumption.

Recall that the announcement of new CPUs is scheduled for September 27, and they are expected to go on sale in October. Also today, the Core i9-13900K once again showed what it can do.

The novelty scored 4833 points against 4412 points for the Core i9-12900KS, which previously held the lead. The Core i9-12900K has a score of 4209 points, which means that the increase in the Core i9-13900K is quite significant.

In multi-threaded mode, the processor scores 54,443 points. The Core i9-12900K scores 41,455 points in this mode, while the Ryzen 9 5950X scores 45,849 points. That is, now the Core i9-13900K is unconditionally leading in this benchmark, but we must remember that we do not yet have the results of the Ryzen 9 7950X.
