Nvidia has unveiled the RTX A5000 and RTX A4000 graphics cards for desktop computers. It’s like the RTX 3080 and RTX 3070, but with doubled memory

Nvidia today expanded the range of video cards for desktop computers with two new models – RTX 5000 and RTX 4000. New items, one might say, are the closest relatives of the GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3070, respectively. But they look different and have noticeable differences in memory size.

The RTX 5000, like the previously presented older sister of the RTX 6000, is based on the GA102 GPU, but not fully functional, but stripped down – with 8192 CUDA cores, 256 tensor cores and 64 Ray Tracing cores. That is, in terms of characteristics, this model is slightly inferior to the desktop GeForce RTX 3080. But there is much more memory here – 24 GB. The width of the memory bus is 384 bits. This model occupies two slots in a PC case and has a TDP of 230 W.

The power consumption of the RTX 4000 is much less, with a TDP of only 140 watts. RTX A4000 is based on GPU GA104, on the basis of which the GeForce RTX 3070 is built. However, the execution of this model is single-slot. The RTX 4000 has 6144 CUDA cores, 192 Tensor cores, and 48 Ray Tracing cores. 16GB of GDDR6 memory is connected to the GPU using a 256-bit bus.

Both models are equipped with four DisplayPort 1.4 connectors and support Quadro Sync technology. And the older RTX 5000 has the ability to work in a 2-Way NVLINK configuration.
