The GeForce RTX 3080 video card went on sale a couple of days ago (although you can hardly buy it), the next in line is the GeForce RTX 3090. There are no full reviews yet, but the first tests have already appeared on the Web, and they are impressive.
The Geekbench 5 test may not be the most indicative for a video card, but it allows you to assess the balance of power in the lineup – how much faster one model is than the other. And in this regard, the RTX 3090 has no competitors. The video card received more than 232,000 points, the closest pursuer in the face of the Tesla V100 model for professional use is 11% behind, not much more – RTX 3080. And then – a failure.
The GeForce RTX 3090 turned out to be not only powerful, but also very large: the length of the 3D card reaches 313 mm and even interferes with the installation of hard drives in some cases. At the disposal of this model, recall, 10496 CUDA cores, 24 GB of GDDR6X memory and a 384-bit memory bus. The novelty should go on sale on September 24th.
