Not a marriage, but a “phenomenon”: the super popular Xiaomi Mi 11 makes strange sounds

Users of the super popular Xiaomi flagship smartphone continue to discover the “pitfalls” of new items.

Earlier it was reported that the smartphone went into an endless reboot when charging with the Xiaomi Mi 65W GaN Fast Charger, as well as problems with power consumption due to the Snapdragon 888.

Now users have started complaining about strange sounds that the smartphone makes when playing music. It clarifies that the strange noise appears only if the user presses the back panel of the smartphone.

Xiaomi does not consider this behavior of the smartphone as something unacceptable or, even more so, a marriage. Representatives explain this “phenomenon” Xiaomi Mi 11 by the presence of a special cavity that enhances the bass reproduced by stereo speakers. As a result, when it deforms, when pressed or when it is abruptly restored to its previous shape, the sound can be strange.

According to Xiaomi, the “phenomenon” disappears by itself 5-10 seconds after the case has stopped deforming. The company also recommends that users avoid squeezing the smartphone too much in everyday use.

Recall that Xiaomi Mi 11 immediately became a super hit – in just 5 minutes on January 1, 350 thousand devices were bought. And on the weekend, top managers of Xiaomi celebrated with a cake overcoming the milestone of 500 thousand smartphones sold. The company is now preparing for the international launch of the flagship, as well as the announcement of its more expensive version.
