Recently, Nokia has licensed its brands to many companies. Austrian StreamView GmbH recently became the licensee, and the first product of the company was the set-top box Nokia Streaming Box 8000.

It is reported that the TV set-top box will enter the market before the end of this year, and its cost will be 100 euros.

The characteristics of the Nokia Streaming Box 8000 are higher than those of the analogues available on the market from other manufacturers. The device is powered by an Amlogic D905X3 quad-core chipset with four ARM Cortex-A55 cores and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not announced the amount of RAM, but, most likely, this figure will not fall below 2 GB.

The set-top box supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bleutooth 4.2 technologies, as well as several interfaces: USB 3.0 Type A, USB Type-C, Ethernet, HDMI, etc.

It also supports 4K streaming. There is no information in the specification about support for Dolby Atmos and DolbyVision, but the chipset installed in the box should provide HDR10 support.

The manufacturer chose Android TV 10 as the operating system. By default, the Nokia Streaming Box 8000 will install Netflix and Amazon Prime Video applications. Other users will be able to download from Google Play Market.
