Nokia 5.4 is preparing for release. Nothing new or special. But inexpensive
And here we have news that HMD Global is preparing a new Nokia 5.4 smartphone for release. Because several Nokia smartphones managed to appear in the American FCC regulator under the numbers TA-1333, TA-1337, as well as TA-1340. We will now briefly talk about all of them. And let’s start in order, of course!
The smartphone, codenamed TA-1333, is a budget LTE smartphone with a 4000 mAh battery. They didn’t tell anything more about him. But this is not particularly important for us.
The TA-1337 smartphone has on board the same 4000 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz wireless interfaces. Judging by this, the second smartphone is also extremely budgetary, because the modules are already too old. But Nokia loves to shove old pieces of hardware into new smartphones. Therefore, these smartphones are not needed by anyone and anywhere. Classic!
But the smartphone under the number TA-1340 is more interesting than all the others. The FCC database states that it has a perforated screen for the front camera (innovation for Nokia!), And the main camera has 4 sensors. But this will also be an inexpensive smartphone, because the fingerprint sensor is located on the back panel here. And this, as we know, is the lot of state employees in our time.
Well, in principle, everything is further standard here: USB Type-C on board (it would be surprising to see microUSB here), and there is also a separate key for calling the Google Assistant. In general, nothing surprising. Again Nokia makes state employees on semi-dead iron. Cheap, cheerful, and not much appreciated by buyers. We hope that someday Nokia will do something really relevant and interesting. In the meantime, somehow it turns out like this. And nothing can be done about it.

Fan Adds AMD FSR 2.0 ‘Magic Technology’ to Cyberpunk 2077 and Doubles Frame Rates in 4K

A game modification developer under the pseudonym PotatoOfDoom has unveiled a new modification for Cyberpunk 2077. It adds AMD FSR 2.0 “magic technology” to the game, replacing existing anti-aliasing technologies – Nvidia DLSS and the first version of FSR. The author himself notes that the result was impressive.
According to him, when running the game on a system with a GTX 1080 graphics card in 4K resolution, the frame rate rose to 45 FPS, which is twice as much as it was originally. Other users confirm the increase in frame rate. On a GTX 970 at 1080p and maxed out, Cyberpunk runs at 30 FPS. On the 5700XT, with average shadow quality, the figure increased from 50 to 86 FPS.
The author noted that the modification was originally calculated only for the Steam version of Cyberpunk 2077, but it seems that a recent update made it work with the GOG version as well.
AMD FSR 2.0 technology is not yet officially supported in the game, but its appearance will allow the use of older Nvidia video cards older than the 10th series. The developers have not yet announced plans to add a new anti-aliasing system to the game.
Earlier it was reported that AMD FSR 2.0 was added to Unreal Engine 4 and 5 as a plug-in.

Experts from Open AI taught the neural network to play Minecraft exclusively from videos

Researchers at Open AI have taught artificial intelligence how to play Minecraft using only walkthrough videos. The training method was based on preliminary video training (Video PreTraining, VPT), which made it possible to use a large amount of unlabeled data for this. To control AI, I used mouse and keyboard emulators.
At the first stage, the neural networks showed 2,000 hours of marked-up video with Minecraft gameplay. Here, the researchers demonstrated which buttons users pressed during the game. This allowed the system to learn to guess which buttons are pressed. At the second stage, the neural network has already viewed 70 thousand hours of unlabeled video (without data on the buttons being pressed). All entries were taken from open sources.
As a result, the neural network was able to learn not only to walk in the game world, but also to extract resources and create objects from them, run, swim, avoid obstacles, hunt animals and get food. AI has also learned to jump up and put blocks under the character to climb higher.
In the third stage, the researchers asked the users who took part in the project to help them. Players have created a new world in Minecraft, collected the necessary resources to start and crafted the essentials. All this was recorded on video, which was then shown by neural networks. Some have even built basic shelters, and the neural network has mastered this skill. The researchers used reinforcement learning, which allowed the AI to eventually create a diamond pickaxe.
Scientists believe that the method of preliminary video training will allow you to quickly train neural networks for the necessary tasks, and will also allow you to train artificial intelligence to use the mouse and keyboard. The source codes of the project have already been published.
Previously, it was reported that Minecraft was completely completed in less than 2 minutes.

Small flagship with new features. Redmi Note 12 will get an improved camcorder and a flat screen

Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group China and general manager of the Redmi brand, previously confirmed that the Redmi Note series will be updated every six months. At the same time, once a year, the focus will be on performance and new features.
In the first half of this year, Redmi launched the Note 11T Pro series, which was performance oriented. The Redmi Note 12 series, which will be released in the second half of this year, is positioned as a “small flagship” and will focus on new experiences.
A well-known insider under the nickname Digital Chat Station has revealed that the Redmi Note 12 series smartphones will use a flat screen with a hole for the front camera in the central upper part of the display.
The Redmi Note 11T Pro series uses an LCD screen, while the Redmi Note 11 Pro series uses OLED screens. In both cases, FullHD + resolution and a high image refresh rate are supported.
In addition, Digital Chat Station reports that Redmi Note 12 will receive a significantly improved image processing system. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ uses a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM2 image sensor with a 1/1.52-inch optical format. Probably, the new smartphone will receive an enlarged image sensor.
Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately announce the specifications and release dates of Redmi K50 and Xiaomi 12.
