Nikon disclaims international warranty on lenses and camera accessories

Nikon has announced that it will no longer provide a comprehensive international warranty for its products, citing issues related to differences in regional laws and safety standards. This month, the manufacturer begins its transition to regional warranties for interchangeable lenses and accessories.
According to Nikon, the change will affect “interchangeable NIKKOR lenses (F and Z mount lenses, adapters, etc.) and accessories (Speedlights, etc.).” If the product was purchased with an international warranty, it will continue to be valid for the entire period.
Let’s clarify that regional guarantees will provide the same protection as international ones. However, free repairs can only be counted on in the country where the warranty is valid. Otherwise, even the warranty repair will be paid by the consumer. Also, in some countries, it may not be possible to repair products sold in other countries.
