Nikon CFO pledges to release at least 12 new lens models over the next 12 months
In a recent interview with Japanese magazine Nikkei, Nikon CFO Muneaki Tokunari revealed that the company plans to release at least 12 new lens models in the next fiscal year, which is between April 2, 2021 and March 31, 2022.
Nikon CFO admitted that this year the direction of activity related to the production of photographic equipment will be unprofitable. However, the company hopes that it will become profitable again in the next fiscal year. One of the factors that gives grounds for optimism is the decrease in depreciation charges, since in the current financial year the company has already accounted for the equipment impairment loss. This little trick will allow you to show profit even with low sales.
Nikon’s previously released plan includes 27 Nikkor Z lenses, not including teleconverters. Since 16 of them have already been presented, and the manufacturer has clearly shifted the focus to the development of the Nikon Z system, it can be assumed that during the period indicated by Tokunari, all the lenses for mirrorless cameras announced in the plan will be released.

Huawei Mate 50 will allow you to call and send messages even after the battery is low

Interesting information has emerged about the flagship Huawei Mate 50 series of smartphones, which could be released as early as September this year.
The new version of the Harmony 3.0 operating system, which will run smartphones of the Huawei Mate 50 series, will have an emergency mode that turns on after the battery is low. In this mode, users will retain the ability to receive and send text messages. In addition, you will still be able to make an emergency call.
That is, even after the smartphone informs you that the battery is completely discharged, you will remain in touch for some time. Most likely, you should not expect any amazing technologies from this function. It’s just that the operating system will keep counting the battery charge level, saving some percentage for emergency mode. And when Harmony 3.0 reports that the battery is empty at 0, in fact, it will retain a certain percentage of the charge.
According to previous news, the Huawei Mate 50 series will consist of four models, including Mate 50e, Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, and Mate 50 RS.
Today we published photos of covers or back panels of the Mate 50 RS.
