New Land Rover Defender Sport Details Revealed
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) will expand its newly spin-off Defender brand with a new smaller SUV built on EMA’s upcoming electrified vehicle platform.
This is reported by Autocar, which claims that in 2027 a new Defender will join the lineup, which may be called the Defender Sport. Jaguar Land Rover has already used the word Sport when it introduced small SUVs from the Range Rover and Discovery families.
The British magazine reports that the junior Defender will be part of the same next-generation family of small SUVs that will include the Range Rover Evoque and Velar, as well as the Land Rover Discovery Sport. The existence of the small Defender was confirmed by Jaguar Land Rover CEO Adrian Mardell, who told attendees at an investor conference that “the Range Rover, Defender and Discovery brands will move off the platform. [EMA]”.
The EMA (Electric Modular Architecture) platform will allow Jaguar Land Rover to bring all-electric SUVs to market in the second half of this decade, but it has also been designed to support hybrid powertrains.
Earlier this year, Jaguar Land Rover announced that Defender, Discovery and Range Rover would become standalone brands. The company also simplified its own name from Jaguar Land Rover to JLR and introduced a new logo.

The most expensive one will be the one with Core i9-13900H, RTX 4070 Laptop, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. For such a PC you will have to pay 1230 dollars.
From the rest we can highlight Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, HDMI 2.1 (x2), USB-C (x2), USB 3.2 (x2), RJ45 and dimensions 260 x 165 x 42 mm.

There are no details yet, but it is known that the line will include four models with diagonals of 55, 65, 75 and 85 inches. All new products will receive 4K UHD screens with a frequency of 144 Hz, SoC MediaTek MT9653, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash memory.
At the same time, the prices for the devices will be very low: 381, 483, 674 and 879 dollars in increasing order of diagonal.
Phones

The “smartphone-clutch” Honor V Purse, despite its positioning as a fashion accessory and form factor, is priced at not the most $825 for the basic version. As it became known, Honor will charge about $558 for screen repair. This is the price in China at the current exchange rate. It will also be very expensive to replace the motherboard: $274 or $342 depending on the configuration. Of course, this includes the platform, RAM and flash memory, since all this is soldered on the board.

Considering that this is a “smartphone-clutch”, it will be much easier to damage the screen of such a device than a regular smartphone that is constantly carried in a pocket or bag. And the prices for repairs indicate that it is better to be careful.
