Rumors that OnePlus is looking at the smartwatch market have been confirmed. A gadget called OnePlus Watch has been spotted on the website of one of the regulators.
Information about the development of OnePlus Watch flashed on the Internet at the end of last year. Then it was said that the device could debut in 2020, but the announcement has not yet taken place.
One of the former employees of the company also said that OnePlus is seriously involved in the smart chronometer project. Alas, he did not disclose any technical details.
And now the OnePlus Watch has appeared on the website of IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Authority), a Singapore agency that regulates the information and communications technology and media industry. The gadget is codenamed W301GB.
Apparently, the development of the watch has entered the final stage. The release of this gadget will help OnePlus expand the ecosystem of “smart” products, which, in addition to smartphones, already includes TVs and fully wireless submersible headphones OnePlus Buds.
Alas, it is not yet clear when the OnePlus Watch will hit the commercial market. There is still a possibility that this will happen before the end of this year.
