MyOffice has created a tool for transferring macros from Microsoft Office

The creators of the MyOffice software have developed a tool for transferring VBA * macros to their document editors, which are often used when working with documents created in Microsoft Office.

Previously, employees of companies using Microsoft Word or Excel, when transferring organizations to domestic software, lost all macros – macro commands that have been accumulated for a long time and used daily to solve business problems. Many organizations often use multi-page spreadsheets in which employees enter certain data, after which they need to be analyzed and, using a macro, output the result to another sheet or file, the company explained.

Now, in the built-in macro editor of MyOffice desktop applications, users can simultaneously view the code of a command based on Microsoft technology and write new commands in the cross-platform Lua language, which is supported by MyOffice and is actively used in popular application software. VBA is a Microsoft proprietary technology, which makes it impossible to run VBA macros in third-party document editors. The solution to the problem is the translation of macro commands into other programming languages, and now it has become more convenient and easier to do this work in MyOffice.

Macro commands are written in a special programming language: in Microsoft software, this is the VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) language. MyOffice products use a different language – Lua. Also, MyOffice has prepared and released a series of tutorials on working with macro commands in Lua, as well as a programmer’s guide describing all available functions.

The culprits behind the rise in price of the GeForce

As you know, from the moment it became known that supplies of GeForce RTX 4090 video cards to China would be prohibited, adapters have risen sharply in price in China itself, but prices have also increased in the USA and Europe. Now those responsible have been found. At least partly.

There are reportedly unscrupulous sellers who do not sell their RTX 4090 in their countries, but stockpile them for resale to China. Of course, because of the double or more markups, you can make very good money on this. Of course, such actions lead to a shortage of adapters in a particular market, increased demand and, as a result, higher prices. At least this is what sellers in Vietnam do, but probably not only there.

Prices in the USA and Europe have recently risen to 2000 dollars/euro for the most affordable options, and are not going to go down yet.

Let us remind you that Chinese craftsmen began to convert the GeForce RTX 4090 into accelerators for AI, and now they have even created the RTX 3080 20GB and Radeon RX 580 16GB.

General Director of Advertising and Web Services at Microsoft, Mikhail Parakhin, said that the company still needs to correct some shortcomings. However, no time frame for the transition has been announced yet.

As a reminder, GPT-4 Turbo features a large number of improvements relative to GPT-4, including a context window for 128,000 tokens. True, with Copilot it may well be limited.

In addition, this language model is trained on data up to April 2023, which gives it an advantage over older versions.

The campaign price is $600. At retail, the device will cost $790, which is more expensive than a similar product from GPD. However, let us remind you that OneXGPU is not just an external video card with a large set of ports. There is a slot for an M.2 SSD, so all games can be stored directly on the video card.

Let us remind you that the OneXGPU is based on the mobile Radeon RX 7600M XT, which is identical in basic parameters to the desktop RX 7600. It is worth noting that in this case the TDP is 120 W. The dimensions of the device are 188 × 106 × 16 mm and weighs 789 g. You can also note a USB4 port, a pair of HDMI, a pair of DisplayPort, RJ45 and two USB 3.2. Active CO with an evaporation chamber is responsible for cooling. The Oculink port is used to connect to a PC or console, but USB4 can also be used.

The company promises deliveries in early 2024. The campaign, by the way, is already successful: with the requested $10,000, more than $110,000 has already been collected, and there is still a whole month left.
