MSI Pro MP271 Series Monitors Specify Ergonomic Design and Focus on Fatigue Reduction

MSI recently announced the PRO MP271 series professional monitors with IPS panels. In describing these monitors, the manufacturer notes ergonomic design and attention to factors that reduce user fatigue.

In particular, the PRO MP271QP, PRO MP271P and PRO MP271 monitors feature MSI Anti-Flicker technology, which eliminates flicker when adjusting the brightness, making it more comfortable even for extended viewing. The second factor in reducing fatigue is the low blue light mode. Both of these technologies are certified by TUV Rheinland.

The main characteristics of all three models are the same. The screen size is 27 inches, the resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels. The maximum brightness is 250 cd / m2, the contrast ratio is 1000: 1, the pixel response time is 5 ms, and the viewing angles are 178 °. The screen is capable of displaying 93.1% of the sRGB color space. Two built-in 2W speakers let you listen to audio files or join online courses and conference calls without connecting an external speaker system or headphones.

PRO MP271 and PRO MP271P equipment includes one HDMI 1.4 input, one D-Sub (VGA), microphone input and headphone output. The PRO MP271QP has two HDMI 1.4 inputs and one Display Port 1.2 input.

Thanks to the fully adjustable stand, the PRO MP271QP and PRO MP271P screens can be rotated 90 ° for better viewing of smartphone videos in vertical orientation. The stand also provides height, swivel and tilt adjustments. In addition, you can switch the screen to different modes using the MSI Display Kit App.

At the same time, it is not yet known whether Galax will release the RTX 4080 HOF.

The authors of the QuasarZone resource decided not only to achieve less power consumption from the RTX 4090, but also to achieve this in two different ways. The first is reducing the power limit, but the second is more complex – it is undervolting or reducing the voltage on the GPU.

As you can see from the diagrams, both methods are effective, and in both cases you can achieve an impressive reduction in power consumption with a slight drop in performance. In the case of power limit management, power consumption can be reduced to 268 W, with a loss of only about 6% of performance. Reducing the voltage allows you to achieve power consumption of only 232 watts, sacrificing less than 8% of performance.

Thus, the RTX 4090 can be turned into a mid-range card in terms of power consumption, while keeping its monstrous performance almost unchanged.

Information about DLVR was neither in Intel’s presentation, nor somewhere on the site describing Raptor Lake. However, the CPU DLVR Bypass Mode Enable item has appeared in the new BIOS of Asus motherboards. True, its activation does not lead to anything.

One of the overclockers from the Asus team said that the technology does not work because Intel eventually disabled it in the new generation of processors. For what reasons, it is not clear, but from the tests we know that, perhaps, in vain, since Raptor Lake turned out to be even more voracious than Alder Lake. However, next-generation CPUs may well support the new technology already fully, however, there is no clarity on this matter.

DLVR is a digital linear voltage regulator that complements the main one. This should allow a significant reduction in energy consumption.
