MSI overclocked DDR4 memory to 7156 MHz

Kovan Yang, member of MSI’s overclocking team, set a new DDR4 memory speed record by overclocking an 8GB HyperX Predator module from 2400 MHz to 7156 MHz.
This achievement has been achieved with the new MEG Z590I UNIFY mini-ITX motherboard, which is great for overclocking aficionados. The Z590 is a flagship Intel LGA 1200 socket-based chipset that supports 11th Gen Rocket Lake-S processors and is also backward compatible with previous generation Comet Lake-S processors.
The previous record was set by another overclocker named Hocayu, who reached 7100 MHz using the Asus ROG MAXIMUS XIII APEX. In both cases, a Core i9-11900KF was used as the processor.
At the same time, Kovan Young did not overclock the processor as much as compared to Hocayu. In both scenarios, liquid nitrogen was used to cool the memory module. More information on this record can be found here.
