Motorola promises a new flagship, but it may not be real

Motorola launched the flagship smartphone Moto Edge + last year, and now it has become known that the company is preparing to release a new flagship based on the Snapdragon 8XX family.
Chen Jin, who is the general manager of Lenovo’s China Mobile Phone Division, posted this on his Weibo page. Interestingly, he did not indicate Snapdragon 888, but Snapdragon 8XX. That is, in fact, the flagship may not be real if it uses last year’s Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 865+.
At the end of last year, information appeared about a smartphone codenamed Motorola Nio, which has model number XT2125 and is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, like the Motorola Edge +. In the basic version, the smartphone will receive 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory. At the same time, users will also be offered a version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory.
The display will have a resolution of FHD +, while its frequency will be at least 90 Hz. Motorola Nio is also expected to be equipped with a triple camera. The main image sensor is a 64MP OmniVision OV64B with a wide-angle lens. Additionally, an image sensor OmniVision OV16A10 with a resolution of 16 megapixels with an ultra-wide-angle lens will be installed, as well as a 2-megapixel OmniVision OV02B1B for determining the depth of the scene.
There are speculations that the new smartphone may come out under the commercial name Edge S.
