More than 20,000 Porsche Taycan electric vehicles sold last year

Porsche announced that 20,015 Taycan electric vehicles were sold during the first full year of sales. This made the electric vehicle one of the best-selling Porsche models. At the same time, total sales in 2020 decreased by 3% compared to the record-breaking 2019. The company is pleased with this result, given the blow dealt to the automotive market by the pandemic.
“The coronavirus crisis has become a serious problem since spring 2020. Nevertheless, we managed to maintain a relatively stable supply throughout the year, commented Detlev von Platen, Porsche AG Board Member for Sales and Marketing. “Our fresh, attractive product range, the successful launch of the Taycan as the first all-electric Porsche and the charisma of our brand have all contributed to this positive result despite difficult times.”
