Monster Hunter Rise Demo Coming This Week

The Monster Hunter Rise digital event will air on January 7 at 5:00 p.m. ET on the franchise’s YouTube and Twitch channels. During the event, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Yasunori Ichinose will unveil a new trailer, reveal more information about the new game, and announce a release date for a time-limited game demo due out later this month.

Monster Hunter Rise is a brand new game from Capcom’s massive series. Coming to Nintendo Switch in a couple of months, it will feature both new gameplay systems such as Wire Action and familiar mechanics that fans of the series have loved.

The game takes place in the village of Kamura, built by a ninja. Explore rich ecosystems and fight formidable monsters to become a real hunter. Hunt alone or in a group to earn rewards that can be used to craft a huge variety of weapons and armor.

Monster Hunter Rise will launch globally for Nintendo Switch on March 26th. The PC version is also rumored to be in the works, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.

Epic Games today announced the first season of Fortnite’s Battle Royale Chapter 4. There are a lot of innovations in the game, but perhaps the most important thing is visual: Fortnite moved to the Unreal Engine 5.1 engine. This is definitely a plus in terms of graphics, but a minus in terms of compatibility: the game no longer supports Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

What to do if you want to play, but don’t switch to Windows 10? Epic Games recommends using cloud gaming services like GeForce Now in this case.

With the release of the new part, a 3D accelerator with DirectX 12 support is recommended. Theoretically, the Nvidia GPU of the family no lower than Maxwell or AMD on the GCN architecture satisfies the minimum requirements, but the developers recommend using the GeForce RTX 2080 or Radeon RX 5700.
