ViewSonic presented a dozen and a half models of monitors of several lines at the virtual exhibition CES 2021. Standing out among them is the ColorPro VP3286-8K, ViewSonic’s first professional 8K monitor (7680 x 4320 pixels). It is specially designed for photographers looking for high resolution and wide color gamut.

The base of the monitor is a 32-inch LCD panel. The screen covers 99% of the Adobe RGB color space. The monitor is equipped with Thunderbolt 3 and DisplayPort ports, as well as a USB hub. An interesting feature of the monitor is the presence of a color-blind mode. In it, the colors are adjusted to make them easier to recognize. The monitor has a built-in calibrator to ensure accurate color reproduction.

Three 4K models (3840 x 2160 pixels) are also added to the ColorPro line: the 32-inch VP3286-4K and the 27-inch VP2786-4K and VP2776-4K. The first two cover 100% of the Adobe RGB color space and have Thunderbolt 3 and DisplayPort interfaces and USB hubs. The third model covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, so it is more focused on working with video. Its equipment includes USB-C, DisplayPort and USB hub.

Rounding off the new ColorPro lineup is the 27-inch VP2776-2K with 2K resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels). It also displays 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and is equipped with the model VP2776-4K.

The ViewSonic ColorPro VP3286-8K, VP3286-4K, VP2786-4K, VP2776-4K, and VP2776-2K monitors are expected to ship this summer for estimated retail prices of $ 5,000, $ 2,000, $ 1,000, $ 900 and $ 500, respectively.

Not as thick as new Nvidia graphics cards Non Reference XFX

XFX will offer non-reference 3D cards of the Radeon RX 7000 line. Images of the RX 7900 XT Merc 310 model have already appeared on the Web, but we can safely assume that there will also be a similar-looking RX 7900 XTX Merc 310.

The card is made in the usual XFX design. It is very long, but not the thickest by modern standards. It will probably take up less than three expansion slots.

You can also highlight three power connectors (8 + 8 + 8) and the absence of a USB-C port, which is available on new generation AMD reference adapters.

Recall that the RX 7900 will be launched on December 13th. On the same day, reviews of new AMD products will be published. If the new 3D cards prove to be very successful for their prices, Nvidia can reduce the price of the GeForce RTX 4080, because it is 20% more expensive than the top RX 7900 XTX.

Intel graphics cards are drastically faster in some older games

Intel Arc graphics cards, among other things, have rather mediocre performance in older games. But today the company has released a fresh driver that significantly changes the situation, although not in all games.

The company has worked on optimization for some specific games, adding native support for DirectX 9. In particular, it is important to note Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, in which the performance of Arc adapters increased by almost 80%. The company has also worked on the 1% percentile, increasing the rate by up to 2.3 times, which should make the gameplay smoother.

The GeForce RTX 4080 12GB is back First GeForce RTX

Rumors that the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB video card, canceled right before the release, will return under the name GeForce RTX 4070 Ti have been fully confirmed. Colorful has completely declassified the RTX 4070 Ti BattleAx Deluxe 3D card, and its specs are exactly the same as those of the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB.

Although the cooler is different from the cooler that Nvidia equips its video cards with, the Colorful RTX 4070 Ti BattleAx Deluxe is the reference model in everything else. It is built on the AD104 GPU and has 12 GB of GDDR6X memory with a frequency of 21 GHz. The base frequency of the GPU is 2310 MHz.

There is only one connector for connecting additional power – a 16-pin one, to which GeForce RTX 4090 users have a lot of complaints. However, the consumption of the RTX 4070 Ti is significantly lower, so it is hardly worth worrying about the melting of the connectors in this case. Colorful doesn’t specify the number of CUDA cores, but it should be 7680, which is exactly what Nvidia claimed for the RTX 4080 12 GB.
