The host of the Optimum Tech YouTube channel showed and talked about the new Alphacool product, which allows you to radically reduce the size of the GeForce RTX 4090. This is the Alphacool ES water block, which allows you to abandon the standard bulky cooling system.

The dimensions of the system are only 210 x 150 mm. In PC space, the GeForce RTX 4090 occupies only one slot with it – such a video card can be installed even in a very compact case designed for a Mini-ITX motherboard.

In tests, the water block performed well: the video card, being connected to a 280 mm radiator, heated up to 57 degrees Celsius in the Furmark stress test, heating in games was 53-54 degrees. True, this is in the conditions of an open stand, in a closed case the temperatures will obviously be higher.

The Alphacool ES for the GeForce RTX 4090 is available now for $166 and comes with a heat spreader plate. True, there is one caveat: the device is only compatible with the reference GeForce RTX 4090, as well as four versions of Inno3D production – X3 OC, iCHILL X3, iCHILL Frostbite and iCHILL Black.

Nvidia has not yet said a word about future, more affordable 3D cards in the GeForce RTX 40 line, but others are talking about the fact that such models are being prepared for release. In particular, the Chinese Shangke Group, which produces video cards under the MaxSun and Soyo brands, has included GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 3D cards in the certification documents of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

So far, there has been no mention of specific models, the line of video cards has simply been updated. Moreover, along with the GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4050, the GeForce RTX 4070 is also mentioned.

There are no new technical details about these models, but it is hoped that more data will appear in the coming months. Some rumors said that the premiere of one or more models, among the new ones, could take place as part of the Computex 2023 exhibition at the very beginning of summer.

The American retailer Microcenter has made an interesting offer for those who intend to build a computer based on a 12-core AMD processor. The seller has reduced the price of the Ryzen 9 7900X by a hefty $132 – now at $418, the CPU is cheaper than the regular Ryzen 9 7900. But that’s not all.

The Ryzen 9 7900X is part of the “buy a select motherboard and get 32GB of DDR5 memory bonus” program. Despite the “selection” of such motherboards, they are not more expensive than if they were purchased separately, and not as part of a kit with a CPU. So the offer is very good.

True, unlike the regular Ryzen 9 7900, the Ryzen 9 7900X does not include the proprietary Wraith Prism cooler, but this is not necessary: ​​the X version requires a more powerful cooling system.
