MIUI 12 smartphones detect heart rate without additional sensors

The MIUI 12 operating system has been replenished with a useful option. Its name is heart rate counting. The tools needed to get started with the function are a smartphone with the appropriate firmware and a working flash.

The new feature is implemented in the Health 2.8.6 application. To get the result, you will need to launch the mentioned service and bring your finger closer to the camera with an activated flash, the mission of which is to maintain stable lighting at the time of blood flow measurement.

Special artificial intelligence algorithms are responsible for the counting accuracy.

The new option, according to the developers, will be in demand both among athletes and among users with heart problems.

The heart rate measurement function will work on the vast majority of devices running MIUI 12. The exception is the Redmi 6A / 10X Pro and Xiaomi CC9e / CC9 Pro / CC9 Meitu Edition smartphones (in these devices, the application may not work correctly due to the peculiarities the designated devices).

Xiaomi plans to adapt Health 2.8.6 for all phones of its production and devices produced by subsidiaries Roso and Redmi without exception.
