Microsoft postponed the launch of the Windows 10X operating system

Zac Bowden of Windows Central revealed that Microsoft has decided to delay the launch of Windows 10X a bit longer to ensure that the product is fully operational.

Back in May last year, a Microsoft spokesman said in an interview with Windows Central that the company hopes to begin rolling out Windows 10X to its first single-screen PCs in the first half of 2021. Now Microsoft plans to do so in the second half of the year.

Some may wonder if this extra time will allow for the addition of support for local Win32 applications. As a reminder, this feature was removed when the company refocused its product on low-cost PCs. Zach Bowden heard from insiders that support for local Win32 apps will still not be implemented on Windows 10X at launch, as the company will instead be promoting Windows Virtual Desktop and Cloud PC as solutions for legacy apps.

Windows 10X will continue to target low-cost PCs for schools and businesses. At least this year, Windows 10X won’t be targeting consumer devices. Instead, existing Windows 10 PCs will receive a big Sun Valley update rumored to add new features and a modern user experience.

The fact is that with the release of models equipped with FaceID, there was no room left on the screen for percentages, so you had to turn on the Control Center or use widgets. In the latest iOS 16 beta, percentages will be displayed inside the battery icon in the status bar.

At the same time, according to the source, this feature will appear on the iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone 12 and iPhone 13, but will not be available on the iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini. Perhaps the situation will change by the release.

iOS 16 itself should be released in September along with the iPhone 14, but it is not yet known exactly when this will happen. Note that the company may postpone the release of iPadOS 16 for a month. According to media reports, this is due to problems with the Stage Manager function.

However, according to Microsoft, there will be no changes.

You can exhale: in Windows 10 22H2 system requirements will not change

The Tech Community blog posted system requirements for Windows 10 version 22H2, and they are no different from those for version 2004.

The release of Windows 10 version 22H2 will not contain any updates to the Windows Hardware Compatibility Program (WHCP) and will follow the same guidelines as Windows 10 version 2004”, — said the developers.

At the moment, it is unclear what changes will be made in build 22H2 for Windows 10. But the Windows 11 version will receive a number of fixes, including one that slows down the system.
