Recently, rumors have reappeared about the imminent release of a light version of Windows 11 – Windows 11 SE. Recall that this OS was lit up in mid-June, and now the estimated date of its announcement has appeared: the software novelty can be presented on November 9. Microsoft has scheduled a special event for this day to discuss education-related issues.
Microsoft’s official announcement announcement states: “We will share an inside look at the latest technology and explore the learning gap caused by the pandemic. Hear stories from Microsoft partners, school leaders and selected special guests, and learn about new and existing Microsoft Education technologies“. In general, we will talk about education, and Windows 11 SE, according to rumors, is just designed for low-cost computers used in educational institutions. Such an operating system (and low-cost devices based on it) will directly compete with Chrome OS and Chromebooks.
Along with Windows 11 SE, it may debut an inexpensive laptop running it – Laptop SE. He is credited with a 11.6-inch screen, Intel Celeron N4120 platform (4 cores, 1.1-2.6 GHz), 8 GB of RAM, USB-A and USB-C ports.

Windows 11 more and more problems: the new Microsoft operating system significantly reduces the performance of NVMe SSD
Users of the new operating system have identified another Windows 11 problem. As the Neowin resource pointed out, over the past few months there have been many complaints on the network about NVMe SSD performance degradation.
It is noted that users complain of different symptoms, but they have the same meaning – a significant decrease in the speed of solid-state drives compared to the operation of the same NVMe SSDs with Windows 10 installed.
While some NVMe SSDs show lower input / output operations per second (IOPS), others show lower read / write speeds.
As an example, there is a post from a forum on the official Microsoft website, where the user MJ_JasonM said that the random write speed of an SSD in Windows 11 has decreased by almost half compared to Windows 10.
In response to complaints on Reddit, Microsoft spokesman Neal Christiansen confirmed that Microsoft is already investigating the issue.
The best Android smartphones in terms of price-performance ratio. Not a single Redmi and Xiaomi are among the leaders of AnTuTu
The AnTuTu benchmark team has published ratings of the best Android smartphones in terms of price-performance in different price categories as of November 2021.
If in the summer Redmi and Xiaomi reigned in these AnTuTu ratings, then in November these two brands could not take a single first place. In fairness, we note that the Black Shark brand, also part of the Xiaomi ecosystem, won in the most expensive category.
In the most budget category, up to 1999 yuan ($ 313), the first place was taken by the Motorola Edge S in the 6/128 GB version, in second place is the Redmi Note 10 Pro, and in the third place is the Realme Q3 Pro.
In the 2,000 to 2,999 yuan ($ 314 to $ 470) category, the Oppo K9 Pro leads, followed by the Realme GT Neo2T smartphone, and the Realme GT Neo Flash Edition in third.
In the 3,000 to 3,999 yuan ($ 471 to $ 628) category, the iQOO 7 comes in first, the Meizu 18 comes in second, and the OnePlus 9RT 5G comes in third.
In the 4,000 to 4,999 yuan category ($ 629 to $ 785), the RedMagic 6S Pro (aka Red Devils 6S Pro) took the first place, the second belongs to the Xiaomi Mix 4, and the third to the Black Shark 4 Pro.
Among the most expensive smartphones with a price above $ 786, the new Black Shark 4S Pro is in the lead, which went on sale in mid-October. The second place was taken by the Vivo X70 Pro +, and the third by the Xiaomi 11 Ultra.
