Microsoft has released a new out-of-order update for the Windows 10 operating system. This is the second unscheduled OS update in a week.
The new KB5001649 update is also intended to solve the problems with fatal crashes when trying to use the printer up to the “Blue Screen of Death”. The KB5001567 update released at the beginning of the week did not solve the problem, but, on the contrary, generated new oddities with printing. For example, some users complain that all black documents are printed, while others lose all color inserts, table lines and logos.
However, a few hours after the release of the KB5001649 update, it turned out that Windows 10 20H2 (October Update) and 2004 (May Update) users have problems installing KB5001649.
The system crashes when trying to install KB5001649 and gives an error code 0x80070541, which indicates compatibility problems with the March cumulative updates, which started the story with the “Blue Screens of Death” when printing. Users have two options – manually download and install the update, or simply stop the update.
