Microsoft has acknowledged the problem of blurry text in Windows 10
Earlier this year, Microsoft introduced the News and Interests widget, which allows Windows 10 users to access weather, news, traffic updates, and more right from the taskbar. In May, Microsoft began rolling out the feature to all Windows 10 users.
However, shortly after the release of the update, users started complaining about blurry text in the News and Interests widget on the taskbar. Microsoft today updated its Windows 10 Health Dashboard page to acknowledge the issue.
Under certain display configurations, text on the News and Interests button on the Windows taskbar may be blurry.

The company also noted that it is working on a fix for this issue, which will be available in a “next update.” It does not specify the specific “display configurations” in which the problem occurs.
Users can go to Settings> System> Display and set the scale and layout of the widget. Alternatively, they can also switch News & Interests to Icon Only, which will hide the text and temporarily resolve the issue.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is the first smartphone with Android 12L

Samsung’s flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold4, was unveiled this week and is immediately available for pre-order. According to Samsung, the new foldable flagship comes with One UI 4.1.1 out of the box and has a host of new features for optimal multitasking that have been developed “together with partners.”
The main attention during the announcement was given to design, screens and cameras, but an important novelty went unnoticed. The fact is that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is the first smartphone that will ship out of the box with the Android 12L operating system.
Google initially introduced the L version of Android 12 back in October 2021, and then reminded about it six months later. L stands for large screens, meaning this operating system is designed for foldable smartphones, tablets, and Chrome OS devices. Android 12L can be installed on any device, but it’s optimized for multitasking and apps have been redesigned for larger screens.
Google apps are arranged in two columns, making it easier to navigate on the square display, while productivity and social media apps also know when the device is folded, so they switch to their normal orientation.
Android 12L will only be in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 for now, the small Flip4 clamshell has received the standard version of Android 12.
In the morning we published a comparison of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Xiaomi Mix Fold 2.

8.02-inch 2K AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, 50-megapixel Lecia camera and MIUI Fold 13. Xiaomi Fold 2 foldable smartphone unveiled

Yesterday, Samsung introduced its flagship smartphone Galaxy Z Fold 4, and today its competitor appeared at Xiaomi – the company introduced Xiaomi Mix Fold 2.
In the novelty, the focus is on compactness: Mix Fold 2 received completely new hinges, which made it possible to significantly reduce the thickness of the device. As a result, Mix Fold 2 when unfolded is only a little thicker than a regular USB-C port. The thickness when unfolded is 5.4 mm, when folded it is only 11.4 mm. The weight of the smartphone is 262 grams.
Eco indoor display2 OLED Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 with a diagonal of 8.02 inches and a resolution of 2K. The essence of Eco2 OLED technology is to eliminate one layer, thereby increasing brightness and improving color reproduction. The display is made using LTPO technology and supports automatic frame rate adjustment in a wide range from 1 to 120 Hz. Protection is provided by a new generation ultra-thin protective glass with a thickness of 0.03 mm.
The outdoor display is a 6.56-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution. The maximum frame rate here is also 120 Hz. Both screens support automatic color temperature adjustment based on lighting conditions.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 received stereo speakers. The battery capacity was 4500 mAh, it supports 67 W wired charging.
The smartphone, as befits a flagship, is built on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 single-chip platform, connected to LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash memory.
The main camera of the Mix Fold 2 was created in collaboration with Lecia. It is represented by three modules. It mainly uses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor, a wide-angle lens and an optical stabilization system. There is also a module with a 13-megapixel sensor and an ultra-wide-angle lens with 15 mm EGF and a module with an 8-megapixel sensor and a telephoto lens. The front camera is 20 megapixel.
Interestingly, the MIUI skin for the Mix Fold 2 is called MIUI Fold 13, reflecting the work done by the developers to optimize apps and software features for the large indoor screen.
Pricing has already been announced: 12GB/256GB $1335, 12GB/512GB $1485, 12GB/1TB $1780. Thus, the Mix Fold 2 turned out to be much cheaper than the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
