Fully obeying worldly wisdom “to make a person good, do him bad at first, and then return it to how it was”, Microsoft returns the clock to the taskbar of the second monitor (and subsequent ones too) in Windows 11. The simplest and most convenient feature implemented in Windows 10, For some reason, it disappeared from Windows 11, and users even had to install third-party applications like ElevenClock to display the clock in its rightful place on the second monitor. But soon it won’t be needed anymore.
An old new feature is being tested in the next Windows 11 update in the Windows Insiders channel. Hence, in the custom version, the clock will return to the second monitor’s taskbar after about a couple of months.
ElevenClock puts the clock back in Windows 11
Another new Windows 11 feature that users may want is new options for displaying the Start menu: you can pin more applications to it or display more recommendations (compared to the base option).
More Apps or More Recommendations in the Windows 11 Start Menu – User Choice
Finally, Microsoft continues to experiment with populating the Settings menu. Apparently, the company plans to completely abandon the Control Panel – it will be completely replaced by the Settings menu.
Budget graphics card with ray tracing. Tests GeForce RTX 3050 will be published before the start of sales
The recently unveiled GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card will go on sale on January 27th. As it became known, the situation with the performance of new items will become clear a day earlier.
Adapter reviews will be published on January 26th. Then it will become clear how interesting the new Nvidia turned out to be. Recall that it has a recommended cost of $ 250 in the US without taxes and 280 euros in Europe, but the real prices, of course, will be much higher.
You can also note a rather funny advertising campaign for the RTX 3050. Nvidia has added the map to the official website, where, among other things, there is such an amusing diagram.
Yes, Nvidia is comparing the RTX 3050 to the GTX 1650 and GTX 1050 with ray tracing enabled. Recall that the last two cards do not support this mode, and the meaning of such a comparison is not very clear. Perhaps the company wanted to show that the new cheap video card is better than the old ones, not only in general, but also in such a context.
The top Intel Arc Alchemist graphics card on the DG2-512EU GPU turned out to be faster than the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti in the benchmark
In the SiSoftware Sandra database, Intel’s top 3D accelerator of the Arc Alchemist line based on the DG2-512EU graphics processor was noted. Earlier we already wrote that Intel saw this model as a competitor to the Radeon RX 6700 XT and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070, but judging by the benchmark test, the most powerful new-generation Intel graphics card turned out to be faster than the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti.
The test result of the Intel 3D card is 9017 Mpix/s. For comparison, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti has 8369.51 Mpix/s, the Radeon RX 6700 XT has 7910.91 Mpix/s. But the Radeon RX 6800 with a score of 10607.29 Mpix/s is unattainable. Interestingly, the result of the base video card of the Alchemist line, Arc A380 on GPU DG2-128EU, is 2956.10 Mpix/s. That is, its productivity is exactly three times less than that of its older sister.
According to SiSoftware Sandra, Intel’s top-end Arc Alchemist 4096 graphics card has up to 2.1 GHz stream processors, 4 MB L2 cache, and 16 GB GDDR6 memory. The memory bus is 256-bit.
According to the latest rumors, discrete Intel Arc Alchemist GPUs will be released before the end of the current quarter, but these will be mobile versions. And discrete solutions will go on sale in the second quarter.

The device configuration includes an Intel Core i5-11320H processor, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD.
