Mazda plans to launch 13 electrified car models by 2025

Mazda Motor expects to introduce 13 models of electric and hybrid vehicles by 2025. The Japanese automaker plans to fully electrify its range by 2030.

Three hybrids, five plug-in hybrids and three electric vehicles will begin production next year. The sales focus will be on the markets of Japan, Europe, USA, China and ASEAN countries.

Some of the models will use the multi-level scalable architecture of Mazda Skyactiv, and some will use the Toyota Motor hybrid system.

Serial production of the first Mazda electric car was launched in May last year. The MX-30 crossover is manufactured at the Hiroshima plant. Prices for this model in Europe start at 34,000 euros.

Last month, the company announced its intention to develop the scalable platform mentioned above specifically for electric vehicles. The automaker will develop electric vehicles in-house, using core technologies co-developed by Mazda, Toyota and Denso.

BMW new generation Named the timing of the release of

BMW will begin mass production and sale of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles developed jointly with Toyota Motor as early as 2025. Head of Sales Peter Nota underlined the German automaker’s commitment to producing greener vehicles against the backdrop of increasingly stringent environmental regulations in Europe.

BMW unveiled the hydrogen fuel cell iX5 Hydrogen concept car at the German International Motor Show in September 2021. The iX5 is based on the BMW X5 SUV. The company previously announced that small-scale production of the SUV would begin before the end of 2022.

An FCV can be refueled in three to four minutes – much faster than a battery electric vehicle. While BMW hasn’t revealed the iX5 lineup, the model is equipped with two 6kg tanks to enable long-distance travel.

BMW will also accelerate the transition to electric vehicles. The company is currently aiming for 50% of new sales across the group, including the Mini and Rolls-Royce brands, to be electric vehicles by 2030. Electric vehicles make up a bigger share of sales than expected, so it’s possible the company will reach 50% one to two years ahead of schedule.

We also continue to invest in internal combustion engines. We believe in the importance of different technologies – battery electric vehicles as well as hydrogen and efficient internal combustion engines – because we don’t want to put all of our investments in one area.

There are not as many details about the project as we would like, but it is reported that the car will receive motor-wheels and a fully controlled chassis (4WS) – both the front and rear wheels will turn. The cross-country ability will be no worse than that of some Cybertruck, high power and very good dynamics are also promised. It is expected that the car will receive the Huawei platform, on the basis of which the functions of the autonomous driving system will work (two lidars are attributed at once).

At the time of the announcement of the Tesla Semi in 2017, the automaker said that production versions of the 36-ton electric truck would have a range of about 480 and 800 km at a price of $150,000 and $180,000, respectively. The truck can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 20 seconds, even with a huge load. Pre-orders began to be accepted in May of this year with a deposit of $20,000.

As for the Cybertruck, Musk recently acknowledged that the company would not be able to sell a vehicle with the features and price it announced in 2019, when the pickup truck was introduced.

At the time of the announcement, the single-motor Cybertruck was offered for pre-order for $39,900, the dual-motor version started at $49,900, and the triple-motor version started at $69,900.
