Almost immediately after the transition to the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) algorithm, which the industry has been waiting for years, the Ethereum cryptocurrency began to lose value. And every day the fall intensifies. If on the weekend for 1 ETH they gave about 1450 dollars, then over the past day the price has fallen by almost 7% – to 1230 dollars for 1 ETH.

Perhaps, in a period of economic turbulence and high inflation, it was not worth rushing to switch to PoS, but what’s done is done. Now Ethereum is falling amid the decisions of the US regulator – the Fed: it again increased the base rate by 0.75 percentage points, for the third time in a row. In this regard, stock markets have also declined, and to an even greater extent, cryptocurrencies.

If we talk about Bitcoin, then it also falls, but not so much: if Ethereum lost almost a quarter of its value in 7 days, then Bitcoin lost only 9%. The current BTC rate is about $18,400. In the top 10 major cryptocurrencies of the world, only BNB and Cardano lose less than Bitcoin, the rest are declining more. In general, during the day, the crypto market sank by 3%, its capitalization went below $900 billion.

How new iPhone 14 is more productive than its predecessors

The team of the popular Antutu benchmark has published a fresh monthly rating of the most productive Apple mobile devices.

How new iPhone 14 is more productive than its predecessors: Antutu's latest ranking of the fastest iPhones and iPads

At the end of September, it became clear how good smartphones in the new iPhone 14 line are in terms of performance. According to Antutu experts, although the iPhone 14 did not perform very well, the iPhone 14 Pro still boasts good results thanks to the A16 SoC and 6 GB of RAM.

As we can see, the iPhone 14 Pro managed to take 4th place in the ranking, losing in performance to Apple tablets – iPad Pro 5 of different diagonals and iPad Air 5 based on the Apple M1 SoC. At the same time, the more expensive and larger iPhone 14 Pro Max took fifth place, scoring less than the iPhone 14 Pro.

According to Antutu experts, the reason for this is due to the large screen size of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Assuming that the basic configuration of the two models is almost the same, the difference in screen size gives a difference of about 2000 pixels. The base model iPhone 14 got into the Antutu rating, but only in tenth place.

Last year’s iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max took eighth and seventh places, respectively, and the iPhone 13 was not included in the ranking.

The data was collected from September 1 to September 30, 2022. It is worth noting that the table shows the average, not the highest results, while at least 1000 tests were used for each model.
