Malaysian police use drones to check temperature of people up to 20 meters

The Malaysian police use drones that can measure temperatures up to 20 meters above the ground. This is another measure to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

Drones are warning regulators of people with fever, according to Malaysia’s state news agency Bernama.

Malaysian police have previously warned they will use drones to enforce previously set travel restrictions, and officers in some areas have also said they will conduct surprise home visits to make sure people comply with the rules.

Earlier, information has already appeared about how the authorities of various countries have used unmanned aerial vehicles to monitor compliance with the rules of COVID-19. The Spanish authorities have used drones to ensure that people visiting the beaches comply with social distancing rules. In Brussels, Belgium, police used loudspeaker drones to urge people to “stay at home.”

In Australia, drones have been used to catch people without masks, as well as scan cars parked more than 5 km from their owners’ home. In the UK, authorities have been criticized for using drones to monitor dog owners to see if they are getting too far from home.
