Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman says the company will hold a summer event to mark the launch of the new MacBook Pro by September when the iPhone 13 is unveiled.

Back in May, he announced the imminent release of the new MacBook Pro, which will receive an HDMI port next to the SD card slot. It is expected to support MagSafe magnetic charging technology. It is also said that the new MacBook Pro will feature Jade C-Chop and Jade C-Die SoCs with eight high-performance dual high-efficiency cores, available in 16 or 32 graphics cores.

High-performance kernels are used to perform more complex tasks, while energy-efficient kernels run at slower speeds for simpler tasks such as web browsing, which extends battery life. The new platforms differ from the Apple M1 in design, which has four high-performance cores, four energy-efficient cores and eight graphics cores in the current 13-inch MacBook Pro.

Mark Gourmet’s forecast also says the new MacBook Pros will include up to 64GB of storage, up from the maximum 16GB on Macs equipped with the Apple M1.

Mark Gurman insists on the summer launch of the MacBook Pro, although previously insiders said that the release of the new items will take place in late October or early November.

The latest MacBook Pro in some configurations will have to wait up to two months

As it turned out, the standard options are available for purchase on the day of the start of sales. However, if you choose a larger drive, the PC will have to wait until at least early July.

But if you order a MacBook Pro with 24 GB of RAM, the wait will be delayed. Apple promises to deliver such PCs between August 3 and 10, that is, in a month and a half.

Supply issues may be related to both component shortages and capacity constraints due to the escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic in China. Third-party sources believe that a similar situation may occur with the new MacBook Air on M2.
