Liu Weibing teased flagship Redmi K40 Pro with 5nm Snapdragon 875 chip




Apple yesterday announced the new iPad Air, which received the world’s first 5nm mobile SoC A14 Bionic. In this regard, the head of the Redmi division Liu Weibing (Lu Weibing) hinted at the release of his own device with a chip, which will be built according to the same process technology.

Naturally, the general manager did not disclose the name of the device, but with a high degree of probability, we are talking about the flagship Redmi K40 Pro. The novelty is credited with a 5-nanometer Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 processor. According to rumors, the SoC will boast Cortex-X1 and Cortex-A78 cores in a 1 + 3 + 4 combination. He will also receive Adreno 660 video accelerator, Spectra 580 image processing module, Qualcomm security processor (SPU250), LPDDR5 SDRAM memory, and low power audio system.

In addition to the new processor, Redmi K40 Pro will also be equipped with a large display, an enlarged battery with ultra-fast charging, and a camera with a high-resolution main module.
