LG to Unveil Flat-to-Curved Gaming Monitor at CES 2021
On Monday, January 11, the traditional annual CES 2021 electronics show kicks off in Las Vegas. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it will be held in a new online format without the direct presence of visitors in the exhibition halls. But the top brands will continue to participate in CES. Among them is the South Korean company LG, which will bring a number of new products to the exhibition, including a conceptual display for gamers.
LG Display, a subsidiary of LG Electronics, has confirmed the announcement of the Bendable CSO (Cinematic Sound OLED) 4K concept monitor at CES 2021. Its main feature will be two modes of operation: flat and curved. The monitor will be able to independently switch between these modes, just press a button. As planned by the manufacturer, it will be convenient for users to watch movies in a flat format, and a curved mode with a radius of curvature of up to 1000 mm will allow you to immerse yourself in games as much as possible, providing an immersive gaming experience.
LG’s new monitor is known to feature a 48-inch 4K OLED panel and support for variable refresh rates from 40Hz to 120Hz. Yes, there are models in the gaming monitor market with refresh rates of 240 and even 360 Hz, but they can hardly boast a unique design that allows you to convert a flat screen to a curved screen and vice versa.
We are already looking forward to the premiere of LG’s Bendable CSO and promise to be among the first to tell you about it.
