LG Display has developed a more efficient WOLED stack

LG Display announced the development of a new OLED technology that includes new materials and a new structure that forms organic light-emitting diodes (stack). The stack features an extra layer to improve efficiency. According to the manufacturer, the brightness of large-area WOLED panels as a result can be increased by about 20%.
Let’s clarify that we are talking about a development that has already left the walls of research laboratories. The manufacturer used it in the first serial product – a 77-inch panel. LG Display expects to add it to other panels this year, adding 83-inch and 42-inch TV panels to its range. Recall that now the South Korean manufacturer produces OLED panels in sizes 48, 55, 65, 77 and 88 inches diagonally.
In the future, LG Display plans to expand the lineup with panels ranging from 20 to 30 inches for mid-range TVs.
