Lexus has a turntable
Last week, the Lexus IS Wax Edition was unveiled, which is a modified Lexus IS 2021 sports sedan with a working turntable.
The turntable is located in the glove compartment and is suitable for playing full-size 12-inch vinyl records. High-quality sound is delivered through the Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound car audio system, which has 17 speakers and an amplifier configured for a 7.1 system.
The turntable in the Lexus IS Wax Edition has been custom designed using 3D printed parts, carbon fiber and machined aluminum. The player received a vibration and shock stabilization system that occurs when the car is moving on uneven road surfaces. Yes, you can listen to vinyl music at speeds up to 130 km / h.
Lexus and Pitchfork also partnered with Grammy-winning music producers Madlib and Kaytranada, who released a joint single for the Lexus IS Wax Edition.
