Leica camera, 5.4 mm thickness and brand new design: Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 first shown alongside Xiaomi 12S Ultra

Xiaomi has published a new poster ahead of its grand event dedicated to the announcement of new devices. The poster shows the new Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 smartphone for the first time, posing next to the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

An image of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 confirms that it will have a different back design compared to its predecessor. The device has a horizontal camera unit, which houses three image sensors, an LED flash and Leica inscription.

On the right side of the smartphone are the volume buttons and the power / lock button with a built-in fingerprint scanner.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is expected to be equipped with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 single-chip system. The diagonal of the internal screen is expected to be 8 inches. The screen resolution will be 2.5K, the maximum refresh rate will be 120 Hz. The diagonal of the external screen will be 6.5 inches and will support a smart refresh rate.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 will receive a professional Surging C1 image processing chip. The main one will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The device will ship pre-installed with Android 12 OS with MIUI 13 skin.

The announcement of the device will take place tomorrow, the phone has a thickness of only 5.4 mm.

Today, the Xiaomi Civi 2 smartphone was introduced, which continued the course of the original model. It is only 7.23mm thick and weighs just 171.8g. It is lighter and thinner than the 7.8mm thin, 172g iPhone 14. It houses a 4500mAh battery inside while iPhone 14 Pro Max battery capacity is 4323 mAh.

The Chinese edition of Mydrivers has already received Xiaomi Civi 2 and showed the smartphone live.

Xiaomi Civi 2 is equipped with a 6.55-inch curved AMOLED screen, which not only supports 120Hz high refresh rate, 10bit color depth and Dolby Vision, but also supports 1920Hz high-frequency dimming.

It received a front-facing system with two 32-megapixel image sensors. The main camera uses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 1/1.56″ optical format camera, and the amount of light input is increased by 101.8% compared to the previous generation. The ultra-wide lens uses a 20-megapixel camera with a 115° field of view.

Xiaomi Civi 2 is equipped with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile platform, which is faster than Snapdragon 778G. GPU performance increased by 20%, AI system performance increased by 30%.
