LattePanda has unveiled the Alpha single-board mini-PC based on the Intel Core m3-8100Y dual-core processor, clocked at 1.10-3.40 GHz and equipped with an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 615 graphics subsystem.
The active cooling processor and other components are housed on a 115 x 78 mm board. The thickness of the computer does not exceed 14 mm. The Alpha configuration includes 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM. As for long-term memory, two options are proposed: without it and with a 64 GB eMMC module. Choosing the second option, you can purchase a version with Windows 10 Pro preinstalled. By the way, the manufacturer claims that the Alpha mini PC is compatible with Windows 11. Alternatively, you can use Linux Ubuntu.
The board has two M.2 slots. One of them can include a PCIe or SATA SSD, and the other is for a wireless module. The computer supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 and 5.0 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, and Gigabit Ethernet connections. In addition, there are three USB 3.0 ports routed to USB-A connectors. The fourth USB 3.0 port is routed to the USB-C connector. It supports DisplayPort Art Mode and Power Delivery. In addition, there are eDP and HDMI video outputs. An interesting feature is the Arduino Leonardo “coprocessor” (ATmega32U4). The computer is equipped with two double-row connectors, where the GPIO, I2C, I2S, USB, RS232, UART, RTC, etc. lines are brought out. Power can be supplied from a 12 V AC adapter or a 7.4 V rated battery.
The LattePanda Alpha single board mini PC starts at $ 389.
