The Chinese manufacturing giant Xiaomi is pretty good at supporting not only modern smartphones with new firmware, but also phones that were released several years ago. Over the past few weeks, the company has been rolling out beta versions of MIUI 12 based on Android 11 for its flagships. Now MIUI 12 and Android 11 are available for the younger version of last year’s Redmi K30 smartphone.

The update is 2.9 GB in size. In addition to the new version of Android, the update also optimizes the stability and smoothness of the operating system, adds super wallpapers, optimizes memory usage, and also reduces latency.

Xiaomi has confirmed that MIUI 12 and Android 11 will also receive the following models at about the same time as the Redmi K30 during the next stage:

    • Xiaomi Mi 9 series
    • Xiaomi Mi CC9 series
    • Redmi K20 / K30 series
    • Redmi 7/8/9 series
    • Redmi-Note 7/8 series
    • Redmi 10X series
    • Xiaomi Mi Play series
