Eluktronics has unveiled the first liquid-cooled GeForce RTX 4090 laptops on the market. Sometimes under this name they hide the usual evaporation chamber, especially when it comes to smartphones, but in this case everything is correct.

Models MECH17 GP2 and MECH16 GP have a built-in liquid CO circuit, and the LPP G2 pump itself is made as a separate unit. We have already seen this with Asus, but there are very few such devices on the market anyway.

Both are based on the Intel Core i9-13900HX processor and offer GeForce RTX 40 graphics cards up to the top-end RTX 4090. Both also feature 240Hz QHD screens with G-Sync support, but the MECH17 GP2 has a 17-inch display, while the MECH16 GP it’s 16 inches. At the same time, the models are equipped with the same batteries with a capacity of nearly 100 Wh.

Other characteristics and prices are still unknown. Sales should start in February.

ASRock Gainward and Inno3D easily outperformed MSI Asus and Gigabyte

One of the largest Swiss retailers of computer equipment, Digitec, shared some interesting statistics regarding warranty cases for various devices and various manufacturers.

ASRock, Gainward, and Inno3D easily outperformed MSI, Asus, and Gigabyte, while Sapphire was among the worst. Statistics of warranty claims for video cards appeared

For example, you can see that for video cards, ASRock, Gainward and Inno3D are the best in this indicator, which is quite curious, given that these are generally brands aimed at the budget conscious buyer. The same MSI score is six times higher than ASRock, and the worst are Sapphire and XFX. At the same time, Sapphire is the best when it comes to the terms of the settlement of warranty obligations: the company copes on average in just three days, many times ahead of its competitors.

AMD can prepare not only the budget A620 chipset, but also its even more affordable version.

AMD wants to make Ryzen 7000 motherboards even cheaper. The company will release two versions of the A620 chipset

Resource HKEPC claims that the A620 will be available in two versions. The Promontory 21 version will appear first, and later another version will come out, possibly on Promontory 22. Since Promontory 21 itself is used in more expensive motherboards, it is not well suited for budget models. And the cheaper Promontory 22 will allow manufacturers to produce more affordable boards.

Technically, there should be no difference from the user’s point of view. AMD has previously promised motherboards for the AM5 platform starting at $125, but so far the minimum prices for models based on the B650 chipset start at about $160.
