Kingston Launches Tiny 2TB XS2000 Pocket SSD
Kingston Digital has announced the launch of the XS2000, a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Pocket Portable Solid State Drive that delivers the fastest transfer speeds in a compact package.
The Kingston XS2000 is available in 500GB, 1TB or 2TB capacities and transfers data at speeds of up to 2000MB / s and allows you to copy high-definition images, 8K videos, large documents and edit them directly on the drive without any delay. The drive is equipped with a USB-C connector, so you can connect it to a PC or mobile device and use it anywhere.
The novelty from Kingston is almost half the size of a conventional portable SSD, while it is protected from dust and moisture according to the IP55 rating. The dimensions of the device are 69.54 x 32.58 x 13.50 mm with a weight of 28.9 g.
The XS2000 has been designed to ideally combine high performance and high capacity to meet the content demands of users around the world. Add to that the compact size – like a car alarm key fob – and increased durability and you have the perfect drive for efficient content management for both the general user and the professional.
Keith Schimmenti, Enterprise SSD Manager at Kingston
The drives come with a 5-year warranty.

GeForce RTX 4060 will receive one and a half times less memory than RTX 3060. Gigabyte has revealed data for RTX 4070 and RTX 4060

Gigabyte has confirmed the memory capacity of the yet unreleased GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 video cards. The corresponding adapters have been added to the list of supported ones in the Gigabyte Control Center software.
In particular, it lists RTX 4070 Aero OC 12GB and RTX 4060 Gaming OC 8GB. That is, the older novelty will receive 12 GB of memory, and the younger one will be limited to 8 GB. In the second case, this is quite interesting, since the original RTX 3060 is equipped with 12 GB.
All early data said the same thing. If they are otherwise correct, the RTX 4070 will have 5888 CUDA cores and a 192-bit memory bus, while the RTX 4060 will offer 3072 CUDA cores and a 128-bit memory bus.

If an Intel processor with a TDP of 350 W can consume almost 2 kW, then how much will a Granite Rapids CPU with a TDP of up to 500 W consume? The first details about this line have appeared

Details about the Intel processors that will replace the recently released Sapphire Rapids have appeared on the Web. The new generation will be called Granite Rapids and will indeed be completely new.
These CPUs will switch to the Intel 4 process technology, as well as the new Redwood Cove architecture. As in the case of Sapphire Rapids, only large cores will be included in the configuration of new products. But the most impressive is TDP up to 500W!
Recall that Sapphire Rapids in the face of the 56-core Xeon W9-3495X at a TDP of 350 W can consume up to 600 W of power without overclocking, and with extreme overclocking, consumption can reach almost 2 kW! If the new Granite Rapids have a TDP of 500W, what will be their actual power consumption?
As for the rest, we know about a 12-channel DDR5 memory controller and an LGA 7529 socket. Sierra Forest-AP processors will have the same performance, which will include only small cores.
The insider YuuKi_AnS, who shared the data, was the first to publish a photo of the Sapphire Rapids processor without a cover two years ago, and recently he was the first to reveal the characteristics of the Xeon CPU Max line.

Attacker tried to smuggle 84 SSDs across the Chinese border by hiding them inside an electric scooter

Chinese customs continues to periodically encounter unusual ways of transporting computer components. For example, on March 3, at the Guangdong-Macau checkpoint, an unnamed person tried to smuggle 84 SSDs across the border.
The man hid these same SSDs inside an electric scooter. 84 M.2 drives. were packed and hidden in the steering rack. This is a very convenient place, but the problem is that this method will not help to hide contraband from X-ray inspection. Actually, this is how the man was caught.
The official website of the customs specifies that it was about Kingston drives, but their volume is not specified. It is also worth clarifying that the attacker tried to import the SSD into China.
