Design

Kia wanted to develop an electric vehicle that would not be compromised by the current limitations that this type of vehicle drags: they wanted a vehicle with great autonomy, that could be recharged very quickly and, at the same time, had an interior spacious, technological and tasteful, without being able to blame a boring driving. But above all he wanted to stand out from the rest aesthetically.

And he has succeeded. Thus, we can say that this model, while conforming to very outstanding technical characteristics, stands out for its image stunning view from all angles and spaces (also inside). Created to offer something different in the crossover class, it offers a distinctive high-tech exterior.

We see it on the front with its so-called ‘Tiger Face’ which, in conjunction with the manufacturer’s new achievement, has been reinterpreted for the digital age. As part of this, the daytime running lights show a elegant and modern look including a sequential dynamic light pattern. In the lower area, a low air intake visually enlarges the front of the car, accentuating its high-tech image. It has a size of 4.6 meters long, 1.8 meters wide and 1.5 meters high.

Versions

Something very representative of how this car is is that the brand wanted to launch it directly with four different versions with different power levels from its first day. It does so from a series of configurations ranging from the lowest prices (46,000 euros) to the most equipped (66,000).

It is followed by the unit with a 77.4 kWh battery, 170 kW (228 horsepower), 350 Nm of torque, rear-wheel drive and 475 kilometers of approved autonomy.

From there the versions of all-wheel drive with double motor (one on each axis). The first is the EV6 with a 58 kWh battery, 235 horsepower and 605 Nm of torque. The most powerful versions are signed with the largest battery, the 77.4 kWh. In a first step it offers 325 horses, 605 Nm of torque and all-wheel drive.

The GT Line comes with two electric motors that generate a maximum power of 436 kW (585 hp) with a torque of up to 740 Nm. Thanks to these recharging powers, the Kia EV6 can recover up to 80% autonomy in just 15 minutes, while domestic recharges take between six and eight hours, depending on the size of the battery.

Consumption

For the consumption of this Kia EV6 we have to say that they are not too far from other models in the same range, such as its cousin Ioniq 5, from Hyundai. With 16.5kWh/100km, these are acceptable numbers if we take into account that its batteries are among the highest in the range, something important if we consider that its consumption has achieved a range in electric mode of almost 500 kilometers.
