Italian data agency asks Facebook for clarification on smart glasses

The Italian regulator clarified that it had asked the Irish Data Protection Officer, who oversees Facebook, since the social network’s European headquarters is in Ireland, to ask Facebook for clarification. He would like information about the measures that Facebook has taken to protect people, in particular children, who may be inadvertently being photographed, about the systems that ensure the anonymity of the data collected, and about the functions of the voice assistant connected to the glasses.

Facebook has already promised to answer these questions.
